Driftwood Consort "plays with as much fire, fun, and especially talent, that you'd think they composed the music." (Bruce Bratton of Bratton Online, 2012)
We are an ensemble with a passion for exploring and performing music from the Renaissance through Romantic period on period instruments. Under the artistic direction of Lars Johannesson and Alissa Roedig, Driftwood Consort brings together musicians who live and work in the greater Bay Area.
We present an annual season of three concerts from three different musical periods. Recently presented programs have included 'Bach's Voices' (music by J.S. Bach for voice and instruments), 'A Bohemian Serenade' (an imaginary 19th-century salon) and 'Musettes du Coeur' (folky French music from the early Baroque).
Our shows are entirely artist-organized and promoted. All tickets are available at the door. For more information or to make a contribution contact us at . Thank you for supporting Live Music!
